The 2008 Buckeye Shepherd’s Symposium planning is in it’s infancy. The dates, location, and featured speaker are really the only things that are really confirmed. The dates of the 2008 Buckeye Shepherd’s Symposium are Friday, December 12 and Saturday, December 13, 2008. On Friday evening there will be a kick-off reception for the upcoming 60th anniversary of the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association. The Ohio Sheep Improvement Association was organized in 1949. The primary educational programs will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2008. The featured speaker will be Dr. Dan Morrical, Sheep Extension Specialist and sheep researcher from Iowa State University. The location for the 2008 Buckeye Shepherd’s Symposium will be the University Plaza Hotel and Conference Center, 3110 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, OH 43202. Please visit our website, www.ohiosheep.org or www.sheep.osu.edu later in the summer or early fall for more information.
